Vintage Mother's Day

I really enjoyed putting this card together. I used a photo stamp - I've had it for ages and it had never been inked :( To be honest I must have stamped it 6 times using different inks. I expected Versafine to give me the best impression but actually it was Ranger's Archival Ink that worked best on the card I chose.

The papers are K&Co - I love their vintage feel. A little distressing and inking; a strip of lace to echo the lace in the girls dress and a few flowers. The sentiment is stamped on a piece cut from a Spellbinders die - I just used the edge of the die rather than cutting the whole shape.

Bye for now

Beautiful Fuchia's

I wanted to pop a picture on here of a card I made for my Hubby's Auntie a few weeks ago.

I used a stamp from Heartfelt Creations that I've had for a few years now. Stamped using Archival Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I painted it with Distress Inks and added a few pearls.

The bottom panel is a WOW Embossing Powders stamp and I embossed using Silver Pearl WOW E/P, (I love the pearl powders).

As I'm not having the time to craft as much as I used to I actually made 2 of this card and am using the other one  - with a different sentiment - for a wedding we're going to next week :)

Well, bye for now

Missing in Action!

At last, I have finally got my act together and decided to visit my blog for the first time this year.

We've had quite a few life changes over the last 8 months - moving to a different part of the country; new school for the kids; new job for me; lots to get used to. I'm taking a break from demoing and am no longer a member of the WOW Embossing Powders Design Team - I just need to craft for me for a while.

Anyhow, here's 12x12 page I put together of my daughter and her boyfriends visit to Disneyland Florida a couple of years ago:

I used papers from the Papermania Happy Days collection by DoCrafts as I thought they co-ordinated well with the pictures I chose to use. The embellishments echo the details in the photo's, and of course I had to add a key to enter that beautiful fairytale castle.

Well that's my first post for this year and hopefully I'll find the time to visit more often.

Thanks for stopping by,
