With Love!
Hi Folks
Just wanted to show you the card I made for my Hubby for our Anniversary last week. As usual, I didn't have much time so I inked up a stamp I've had for a while and never used and popped it onto an embossed backgound, (really like this Spellbinders M-Bossability Paisley embossing folder). A piece of raffia, a little charm and a sentiment was all that was needed to finish it off.

Retro Layout!
Hi Folks
Sorry I haven't blogged for a while - time certainly flies!
Been busy making demo samples for the new Docrafts promotion and I've decided that as I don't seem to find time to scrap I am going to try to make at least one page every two months using one of the new Docrafts ranges. This way I get to add a new page to my book and use the Docrafts goodies to show at demo's.
So, without further ado, here is my page using the new Happy Days range:
This ended up being rather busy, but I love these papers and they fit right in with this picture of my Mum, Dad, Uncle, Auntie, (friend?) and Nan back in 1967.
Anyhow, that's all for now.
Thanks for stopping by.

Moving on!
Hi Folks
I was asked to make a retirement card for my hubby's boss last week. I was thinking decoupage; toppers i.e. clean, then hubby said 'do one of those inky technique things you do.' Well I certainly don't need much encouragement so I set to inking, stamping and embossing - here's what I came up with:
Distress ink background overstamped with cogs from Paper Artsy and Crackle from Creative Expressions. The topper was an image from the Steampunk stamp plate from Eco Green Crafts coated in a couple of layers of clear embossing powder to create a tile. A few additions 'a la Tim Holtz' and I had what I think is a retirement card with a difference.
Well that's all for now.

Journal Cover
Hi my fellow bloggers
I've decided to have a go at making a Journal to log different techniques to use as a reference guide when I get stuck for ideas.
So far I've only managed to decorate the cover, but am quite pleased with the result:
I used one of the Papermania Bookprint papers, distress stains, distress inks , WOW embossing powder and a touch of distress stickles. I added the white splodges tying to be 'arty' but have now decided that it looks like the bird has had an accident all over my cover :-) - oh well, I quite like the effect lol.
Must be going now.

Watering the Garden!
Hi Folks
I've had a busy weekend demoing; yesterday at Craft Central in Derby and today at Melbicks Garden Centre in Coleshill. I had lovely crafters stop by each day and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Anyhow, I wanted to share a card with you that I made ages ago but didn't post on here:
It's a Sarah Kay image coloured with Promarkers. I distressed the edges of the K&Co paper; used a Doo-Hickey fence die and Marianne Design flourish die; a Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch and a Hero Arts sentiment.

Canvas Tea Party!
Hi Folks
I wanted to show you an altered canvas I made for one of my Design Objectives samples for the current promotion.
I dry brushed the canvas board with a couple of shades of pink acrylic paint and then dabbed through sequin waste with white paint for interest. The teacups and cupcakes (from the Lucy Cromwell Collection) were stamped onto tissue paper and coloured with brush markers. After cutting out, the images were applied to the board using Matt Medium - this adheres the tissue to the canvas and it seems to disappear and looks like it has been painted on directly. A little bit of stamping and embossing finishes the canvas off nicely!

Molly Blooms Card
Hi my fellow Bloggers
Hope you've all had a great Jubilee weekend. I spent a couple of days at St Albans at WOW Towers and then today I had a demo at Hobbycraft Cheltenham for their Jubilee Week event. I now need a holiday!
Anyhow I wanted to share a card I've made using a Molly Blooms stamp that's been hanging around for a while.
The papers are from the Cosmo Cricket 'Tea for Two' paper pack and the hearts and label are die-cut using Spellbinders dies - all available from Stampeezee.
There is a 25% Mid-Season Sale starting over on the Stampeezee site on the 6th June for one week - worth a look if you get a minute.
Well must be off now.

New DO Sample Cards
Hi there
Thought I'd share with you a couple of the samples I've made using the new May/June DO Crafts products to take to demo's with me.
This is Wellington - a proper Teddy Bear not a cute one - I love him! I used a tall stepper card, a die cut topper and tag and a couple of die cut stars to embellish.

Sunny Layout!
Hi Folks
Not sure where the time goes to anymore. I don't seem to be able to find the time to fit everything in and my blog is suffering for it. I'll try to post as often as I can, but please forgive me if it's a little sporadic!
Anyhow, this post is to show you what I made for the WOW Embossing Powders DT Challenge this month. The theme was 'Male' using the Earthtone pallet of colours. I took this picture on the Isle of Wight at Easter and I needed to scrap it! Not often I get a good photo my 'boys' together (and smiling!).
Instructions and items used are all on the WOW Blog so pop over and get inspired by all the other lovely DT makes!

More Flakes!
Hi Bloggers
Well here I am again, back from Newcastle (what a long day) and all ready to play. I had a great time showing the Indigo Blu stamps, Flitter Glu and Mega Flakes. I now have a favourite - Yorkshire Dales; green tones - quite subtle. Hopefully I'll be demoing these again at some more shows. I've quite a lot on at the moment, my DT project for WOW Powders needs creating, some more samples for the shop's gallery need to be made and a load of new stock needs adding to the Stampeezee site, (I'd moan if I wasn't busy!).
Without further ado here is the card I made with the Ella Bella image I stamped and guilded last week:
I used Distress Inks for the backgrounds (stenciled through some sequin waste for the dots).

Flitter Glu & Mega Flakes
Hi Folks
Just wanted to say what a great time I had demo-ing for WOW Powders at the NEC last weekend. The stand looked great and the team really got on well. Marion Emberson was an absolute delight; so talented! She was my lunch buddy so we spent quite a bit of time together. She has been so supportive and given me some great advice - a new friendship I'll treasure!
Tania was brill as always, and with all the help we got from some of the DT members (Sue, Neil, Christine, Nikki and Sarah) the demo table was never short of new ideas being tried out. Can't wait for the next one (I hope they ask me!).
Anyhow, this Saturday I'm going up to Newcastle upon Tyne to demo for Samuel Taylors at the Pins & Needles show - a long way I know, but a friend in need and all that! I'll be demo-ing the Flitter Glu and Mega Flakes from Indigo Blu. As I've just had them into the shop I've been playing with them and they are lovely. Here is a card I made for the Stampeezee Gallery - I'm sure there will be many more to follow:
I also stamped and guilded 'Ella Bella' but haven't used her on a card yet - isn't she lovely?
I am thinking that although Saturday will be a long day I am going to have FUN!!!
Well that's all for now.

WOW DT projects
Hi Bloggers
Just quick post to show you what I made for the WOW Powders DT Challenge this month. I chose to go with the wedding theme and made an Invitation and a Keepsake Frame:
This invite was quick and simple to do - just what you need if you have to reproduce loads of them. I used Pastel Pink and Bright White embossing powder; a bit of torn vellum and a couple of stamps from the WOW collection.
This Keepsake Frame is an altered Malma mirror from Ikea. Two colours of green acrylic paint over stamped using the WOW 'Brocade' stamp and embossed with Pastel Yellow EP. A couple of die cut swirls covered in Gold Rich Pale EP, a sentiment from Basic Grey and some flowers and metal corners.
Voila - a pretty gift or something for your own wall!
Pop on over to the WOW Powders site for more powdery inspiration.

Do Crafts Samples
Hi Folks
I had a lovely day demo-ing on Saturday at Shillbrook Stationary in Carterton. Michelle and Sami made me really welcome and my demo's seemed to be well received. Hubby chauffered me - just an excuse to go to the Outlet Shopping Village at Bicester - I think he's spent out!

Sunshine!
Hi folks
Thought I'd let you know that I had a great time demo-ing at the Trade Show for WOW Embossing Powders - I always do! Got to play with Ultra High for three days (UTEE) trying out different techniques and generally having a great craftathon! I was sat directly opposite Sheena Douglass' stand and as she did my Creative Expressions training a few years ago it was lovely to catch up. Also saw a few other old friends and made some new ones!
Anyhow, as the sun is shining outside and I'm busy making samples for my DO Crafts demo's I thought I'd post a picture of a card I made a while ago using the Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies from Creative Expressions:

Journal for Oliver
Hi Bloggers
Just had to share with you what I've been up to. My middle son asked me to make him some kind of a journal that he could add pages to as and when he felt like it. I had a Basics board book lying around and he asked me to decorate each page with things that he liked in a grungy kind of a style (definately his thing).
See what you think:

I had a Basics board book lying around and he asked me to decorate each page with things that he liked in a grungy kind of a style (definately his thing).
See what you think:
Grungeboard hinges and strap with WOW Copper embossing powder and a bit of Tim Holtz
Idea-ology.
Old book pages, gesso-ed with some altered cardboard gears & sprockets.
Stamped images from the Portabello Road collection by DO Crafts.
This is HUNK - a Stampotique image that Oliver loves (and spiders that he hates). I crackled this background with glue and acrylic paint.
Hearts made with a mould and WOW Ultra High EP. Blue page is sky blue acrylic paint with dark blue paint dabbed on using a plastic bag. I stamped the grid image onto white tissue paper and adhered with Matt Medium. Then some Steampunk was the order of the day on this, and the following page:
Below are a few close ups - sorry if boredom is setting in but I loved creating this:
Whew! Loads of grunge - not to everyones taste, but this totally embodies my middle baby. (He'll kill me for calling him that - 15 this year!).
Thanks for stopping by.
